Yellow Maengda The tropical herb Kratom (Mitragyna speciosa) originates from Southeast Asia. Kratom is extracted from various trees of the same species, and because different trees within the same Kratom family can contain varying alkaloid profiles, there is a difference in potential effects. Yellow MaengDa is composed of 80% white Kratom and 20% red Kratom. The name “Yellow Maeng Da” refers to the unique drying method used for the leaf blend. It is reported that Yellow Maeng da can provide a pleasant mood-enhancing effect similar to Green Maeng Da, although the effect will be more subtle, as all yellow Kratom variants are known for their mild forms of Kratom.

The warm, wet climate and rich, fertile soil of Southeast Asia provide ideal growing conditions that enhance kratom’s alkaloid expression. The yellow Kratom is a less common type of Kratom. Unlike other colours of Kratom as we know it, namely white, red and green, the yellow Kratom is not a naturally occurring variety. The yellow Kratom gets its colour from the drying process. The Kratom is dried in the sun for 15-20 days.
After this time the Kratom leaf changes from the green colour to the yellow colour. During this drying process white and red kratom is used to obtain the yellow Maeng Da.
